Initial Thoughts
Runtz is a beautiful and tasty candy flavored strain that took the country by storm because of its incredibly potent effects. I was never one to hop on the Runtz bandwagon in the height of its popularity, but maybe that’s because I never had access to great genetics. The strain originated in Southern California, but now The Bank is offering these West Coast Runtz genetics from their harvest right here in Virginia. It's so good that, who knows, maybe I’ll change my mind and hop on that bandwagon afterall. 🤔
Appearance
This batch of Runtz is straight up sexy. The amount of trichomes make it look like a layer of kief is ready to be dusted off. The purple and dark green buds grind up beautifully and the shake looks as attractive as the buds themselves.
Status
These buds were soft, squishy, and especially fresh. In my experience so far, it’s the freshest flower I have tried in the Virginia medical program.
Aroma
An exotically sweet, grape-like candy scent. This batch smells heavenly and the freshness of the buds are to thank for that.
Flavor
The flavor matches the scent to a T. A succulent candy taste that coated my mouth in goodness.
Lineage
An offspring of Zkittlez and Gelato, the Runtz strain is a balanced 50/50 hybrid. However, this batch leaned more indica heavy in my experience.
Effects
This is a seriously potent batch of Runtz that has been my go-to for before bed all week. Instantly, a calming and relaxing mental state began - great for letting go after a long day. This was accompanied by a state of euphoria that took over my body. I couldn’t bring myself to do anything after smoking since I was slowly starting to fall asleep. This batch is perfect for anyone looking to counteract anxiety or treat insomnia because of the state of bliss this strain will put you in.
Conclusion
I’d highly recommend trying some of this Runtz; Its highly potent effects, freshness, and splendid taste have made this my favorite strain in the VA medical program at the moment. I can happily say I have gotten aboard the Runtz train, I hope you're ready for the ride. The Bank continues their trend upwards since they are consistently producing the freshest and tastiest flower the program has to offer right now. I hope this trend will continue and other MSO’s start to take notice so we have some real competition that will consistently produce buds like these. Be sure to grab it (before this batch runs out) at gLeaf in Colonial Heights and don't forget to let them know that Toker’s Guide sent you!
