It’s Ben from KannaBus back with another strain review and this time I'm smoking on the mighty indica dominant MK Ultra from DC recreational delivery service, High There DC. This strain packs a powerful and sedative punch which, along with the sticky finger hash residue on my fingers from breaking it up, is making my keyboard hard to operate presently.
The aromas my nose received from the freshly ground flower was that of earthiness blended with a tropical fruit smell. There are skunky notes buried deep inside as well. I preferred it rolled in a joint and felt that the flavor, which greatly resembled the aroma, was best expressed in that format.
A Indica-heavy hybrid created by crossing the legendary Indica G13 of the 80’s and
90’s with the equally as notorious OG Kush, the resulting combination is an ultra cerebral buzz that leaves the user stuck in a chair daydreaming for hours on end. But, what else would you expect from a strain named after a formerly top secret CIA mental manipulation program?
This batch is clearly very strong and may be best utilized for pain relief given its highly narcotic-like effects. It's also one that can result in high levels of drowsiness, so I would not recommend it as a wake and bake option. That is unless the desired effect is a lazy morning without a care in the world - which actually doesn’t sound like a bad idea now that I mention it.
In all seriousness I would say most users would enjoy this herb best in the evening after all work is done for the day. Its ability to create a state of complete and total relaxation is noteworthy and makes it a great option for nighttime indica fans.
With potency levels that hover around 20%, heavy-hitting sedative effects, and a fine earthen skunky flavor, it's not hard to see why this strain won the Cannabis Cup for best indica back in 2003. To get some MK Ultra for your own stash just hit up delivery service High There DC today. Don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide sent you!
