This Lemon Ice from DC medical marijuana dispensary, Takoma Wellness Center, is the citrus forward haze varietal I've been searching for. A cross of Lemon Haze and Afghani, it runs roughly 70/30 on the sativa/indica ratio and can set off some creativity whirlwinds in the active mind it produces, at least for me.
Lemon Haze, itself being a cross of Silver Haze and Lemon Skunk, has always been one of my favorites in the haze department. Having the added influence of a massively potent, in this case, Afghani indica cultivar just makes the "journey" that much more enjoyable. There are comforting euphoric feels that inundate, seemingly, for longer that usual and there's definitely a more psychedelic element that makes the lights twinkle a little strangely.
It's obvious the cultivator was a professional in the case of this harvest, and the buds were clearly finished, flushed, and dried in idyllic fashion resulting in the aforementioned phenomenal aroma and flavor. Note that the texture and light gritty feel of the way these spongiform trich'd out buds break up makes for some of the best rolling material you could ask for. Hazes are hard to grow, and they definitely nailed it with this batch in aroma, flavor, and potency alike.
