Initial Thoughts
As a three-way cross of Blue Dragon, Acapulco Gold, and C99, this Gold Digger is a veritable who's who of some of my favorite varietals. Accordingly, I was very excited to give it a try when I heard about a batch of it being available over at DC i-71 dispensary storefront, Flight Pass.
Appearance
Darker green buds with flecks of purple, bright orange hairs, and a good amount of starry trichomes.
Status
Curing.
Aroma
Sweet, yet gassy with a hint of tart cherry and spice.
Flavor
Sweet and slightly fruity with a tart and skunky aftertaste.
Lineage
Gold Digger is a three-way cross of Blue Dragon, Acapulco Gold, and C99 that runs indica dominant.
Effects
This is a hard-hitting varietal that goes straight to your head with a powerful rush of euphoria and disorientation. Soon the cerebral effects start to drain into the rest of your body as a blissful feeling of calm. It's not very sedating, but its body buzz is noticeable and makes sitting down feel even more comfortable than usual.
Conclusion
Perhaps the potency of this Gold Digger batch stems from the fact that, despite my affinity for the parental strains, I don't encounter their profiles very often. Then, mixed together, the terpenes and cannabinoids involved are like trying a whole new cultivar. Needless to say, this resulted in a highly intoxicating, highly enjoyable session.
