Initial Thoughts:
To be called Godfather OG it had better be able to sit at the head of the table when it comes to all the OG's, right? Well, with respect to this batch from DC i-71 storefront, No Kids Allowed, I must say it seems like it has all the ideal traits of the great OG Kushes wrapped in one package. There's the beefy rotund structure, the delectably pungent piney aroma, and a classic stoney high that's highly euphoric in nature. Does it have what it takes to be the next Don? To find out, read on...
Appearance:
Lime and forrest greens dominate while burnt orange hairs and tightly packed starry trichomes are abundant.
Status:
Fresh, but starting to cure.
Aroma:
Piney, musky, earthy, and kush-like. Think of your favorite OG strain and amplify that aroma.
Flavor:
Pretty much the same as the aroma, but with added hints of sour fruit and gas.
Lineage:
Godfather OG is reputedly the combination of Bubba Kush, Grandaddy Kush, Purps, and LA Confidential. But, its exact genetic lineage is unclear.
Effects:
Running something like 60/40 indica-heavy you might think that this one would be best for evening, and it can certainly send you off on a blissful night full of rest. Howevever, this is another varietal that I think is well-suited for late afternoon rejuvenation after a tiring day. It's just so soothing in its buzz and seems to wrap your whole body in a cozy blanket that it brings about a general state of bliss with eyes wide open.
Conclusion:
For a shot at a sit down with the top of the OG family just stop by and talk to "some friends of ours" at No Kids Allowed. They'll get you all squared away in no time with a batch that's sure to please even the most infamous gangsta's palate. Don't forget to mention that a little birdie at Toker's Guide sent you their way. Capeesh?🕴
