Initial Thoughts
Whether you've been a cannabis user and lover since the days of Barney Rubble or not it's likely you've heard of or stumbled upon the Fruity Pebbles strain before. This sticky, flavorful batch comes to us from DC I-71 storefront, Flight Pass, where even a caveman can go to find some top quality flower. This strain brings back some fond nostalgic memories from my early stoner days when I first found a love for fruity strains. It's nice to see this flower still being grown and enjoyed all over, even though I haven't seen a commercial for the fruity cereal version in a while.
Appearance
The colors of these buds were as vibrant as ever and had a combination of light and dark green with purple swirling throughout as well. Soft, short, and orange hairs stick out of the flower giving it a glowing effect in the light as trichomes meld all the features together with a consistent shimmer.
Structure
Elongated, dense buds.
Status
Cured well. Pleasurable to roll up.
Aroma
Tropical, fruity, citrus, berry, spice.
Flavor
Before lighting my joint I actually caught myself just inhaling and tasting the flavor of this bud before I got to burning. A punch of fruity flavor all the way through my joint. Slight spice in the aftertaste.
Lineage
Fruity Pebbles has an unknown origin, but is thought to be a somewhat balanced but slightly indica leaning hybrid cross of Green Ribbon X Granddaddy Purple X Tahoe Alien.
Effects
I smoked this as I was binge watching a silly show and within just a few tokes I was giggling and making fun of the show's attributes heavily, calling them all nicknames I made up. It was an overall suuuuper creative feel at first, then it became a mix of a creative head high with more rock hard heaviness in my body. I was able to melt all my pain away as I laid down and explored the full range of my breath, using it as a tool in relaxing my mind and body.
Conclusion
For me this strain was a bit of a creeper as well as being quite a bit heavier than a balanced hybrid usually tends to feel. I'd say it's a little more along the lines of indica heavy. It would certainly go well with activities like kicking back and watching some cartoons (with a smile from cheek to cheek)....maybe even some old school Flintstones if you can find it. For your own Fruity Pebbles there's no need to time travel to stone age Bedrock, just head to Flight Pass DC today and don't forget to tell them Toker's Guide said Yabba Dabba Doo!
