Initial Thoughts
I’m walking into this session like I’m about to walk into the ring for a bout with Iron Mike. Donkey Butter doesn’t come to you with the typical label of “hybrid.” No, this is nearly a pure indica, so expect it to pack a punch that can put you down for the count.
Appearance
The Donkey Butter concentrate has a beautiful amber/gold consistency and comes packaged in a black porcelain container, which may or may not resemble some of your partners make-up. Don’t stress if you accidentally leave it on their vanity after ripping a quick pre-errands dab, though. The very “child-proof” top is certain to deter anyone who doesn’t really know what’s inside.
Status
Moist and slightly gritty, it's akin to something you might confuse with whipped apple butter.
Aroma
The aroma matches the typical descriptors for the strain that is “juiced” to create this product. It's gassy and fruity, but you can also catch whiffs of earth and hints of menthol on the back end.
Flavor
It’s hard to get an initial flavor on this one because I was mostly focused on keeping my lungs intact during take off. On the exhale I did taste some delicious citrus along with what seemed like jet fuel and hints of chocolate.
Lineage
Donkey Butter is a cross of two current heavyweight contenders on the market, Grease Money and Triple OG. Grease Monkey is a cross of the ever popular GG4, which itself comes from the amazing Chemdawg, and Cookies and Cream. I knew I tasted chocolate! Triple OG, on the other hand, comes from an “unknown” or secret recipe, so that’s about as far as we can take that one. Note, however, that OG's typically have kushy indica traits.
Effects
“Just a dab ‘ll do you” they always say...well, that saying most definitely applies to this Donkey Butter because a tiny bit will go a long, long way. Turn to this indica heavy-hitter for those days and nights when you REALLY need to relax, hard. The couch lock is real, but couldn't be cozier and, oh yea, you better have some snacks on hand because this is going to inspire some serious munchies.
Conclusion
Even if you’re a seasoned dab pro this Donkey Butter has the potency to send you to the canvas if you're not careful. Yet, for indica lovers a right-sized dab will make you feel like a champ after just one hit.
