Initial Thoughts
With a super delicious aroma and some intensely bright green coloration this batch of Chocolope Kush from local craft growers, Alternative Solutions' (Alt Sol), was something I was immediately eager to spark up. What I didn't realize right away was that it would become my go-to for an energetic, heady high over the next few days. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised - it's just another example of the excellence that Takoma Wellness Center consistently purveys. 🙌

Beautiful bright green buds with a plethora of fiery orange pistils and frosty trichomes.

Fresh.
Aroma
Sweet and fruity like a melon or cantaloupe along with hints of what could certainly be construed as chocolate.
Flavor
The sweet and fruity melon-like flavor makes this one so delicious that, as it hits my lips, I wanted to pull that much harder on the joint. Utterly mouthwatering.
Lineage
The Chocolope Kush strain is a cross of Chocolope and OG Kush that runs slightly sativa dominant depending on the OG Kush pheno involved.
Effects
The effects are highly cerebral and uplifting, but without any angsty feelings that you might find with some sativa's. It's also mood-enhancing, inspiring creative thought and making social situations more cheerful. The comedown is soft and the mellow, kush-like aspects kick-in to gear making the subtle body buzz more apparent.
Conclusion
Though we would have liked to see a little more maturity, these buds are still gorgeous and the aroma/flavor profile is phenomenal enough to overlook any shortcomings. The energetic headspace it provides is also on-point for the daytime side of my stash box. Accordingly, I'll be looking to pick up some more Alt Sol Chocolope Kush to replenish my supply as soon as I can.
