Initial Thoughts:

The practice of adding terpenes from specific strains back into distillate for cartridges is something that has become quite the science lately. Over at DC i-71 cannabis dispensary Flight Pass they've got the method and process down with their new lab tested carts. We've got two flavors (or strains) of theirs to review for you today: the mouthwatering indica dominant Blueberry Donut and the legendary hazy, sativa-heavy Jack Herer.

Appearance:

These carts come with special protective packaging for the mouth piece and the conduit where the battery connects (often a place where issues occur and can create "duds"). The contents is a highly translucent golden yellow.

Flavor:

The Jack is spot-on given the flavor of the flower that I'm oh so familiar with. It's, essentially, lemons and anise in a combo similar to root beer with a huge squeeze of lemon and a touch of pine.

As for the Blueberry Donut, despite the name it wasn't too sugary sweet. In fact it was a bit more gassy and bready than sugary, but definitely fruit forward and blueberry-esque.

Lineage:

Jack Herer is a sativa-dominant hybrid named for the famed marijuana activist of the same name. Sensi Seeds created this legendary strain by combining Haze, Northern Lights #5, and Shiva Skunk.

Blueberry Donut is an indica dominant cross of Purple Thai and Thai that is known for its delicious blueberry flavor and highly euphoric effects.

Effects:

As a Jack Herer mega fan this was a great little cart to have on hand for some recent chores I had to knock out. As always carts are great for medicating covertly and these are some of the most discreet - their aroma whisks away and nobody's the wiser. The Jack, as expected, left me with a bunch of jolly cerebral energy. Yet, not only was it uplifting and creativity inspiring, it also had a really nice body buzz to it as well.

The Blueberry Donut was what I started calling a "sneaky little f*cker" because it tasted so good and hit so nice, but stoned me into a horizontal position not long after each hit. I guess I don't toke indica carts all that often, so maybe these terps hit me more than they would have otherwise, but I'd still call this a potent indica cart with a knock out punch.

Conclusion:

When all the fam is gathering around and being nosey this holiday season, I'll be trotting off every once in a while to hit a multitude of different carts in secret. These are two carts that I'll definitely be adding to that specially curated collection, though to be honest I'll probably be hitting the Jack cart most often. Otherwise, the combo of good food and the Blueberry Donut cart might put me in a food coma until early 2023. 😴
